Why Fake-It-til-You-Make-It is a Bad Policy

The issue could be that there are just too many shopping deal sites all at once. Or maybe the coupons/deals/offers aren’t what we need as consumers after all. Perhaps it turns out that I don’t need a new pair of cheap shoes or new accessories every month.
Sorry G+, but adding 2,500+ people to cute little circles when you have more data than GOD seems wrong to me. Don’t make me work for another social network. Make your social network work for me.
The problem is that subtle sexism isn’t obvious. That’s why it’s SUBTLE. There isn’t a glowing example to point at and say, “See? Look at that? I was right!” It happens in whispers. It displays itself in absence.
Over and over again, I’m observing how valuable connections are. Social classes aren’t dead by any means. If anything, they’ve become more powerful than ever.
It turns out that, with the right partner, love and greatness are not mutually exclusive. They can exist together! I’m cautious to claim that my experiment has been proven and is completely conclusive as I have yet to achieve much in the department of greatness and the love I’m enjoying is pretty new (only a couple of months in), but I thought I’d share some observations on what kinds of conditions need to exist to make this happen.

I always had a gut feeling that something was wrong about what we value and what we don’t value in the Western world. I just couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Marilyn’s book (the documentary was based on it) unlocked the examples and language I needed to start down my path.
Starting today, I am no longer drinking alcohol. I’ve done it before. Twice. And both times I started up again after a year or so. Time for this woman to get back in motion!
